This year saw the running of our 21st Christmas in July weekend. Our theme this year was a masked 21st Party. Saturday morning saw a group of Morgan owners and their partners standing in the car park of the BP servo at Rockbank looking doubtfully at rain filled skies.

Still with a coffee drunk, instructions in hand and a stiff upper lip firmly affixed, we hit the road for an amazing scenic drive to the outskirts of Ballarat and our surprise destination which turned out to be an indoor Go-cart track. The competitive fires were soon stoked and disregarding life and limb, members were soon flying around the track at ever greater speeds.
Having established a winner, we moved on to the Lake View Hotel for a fabulous lunch then onto our accommodation at the Ballarat Lodge. The staff had turned on the heating in our rooms which was much appreciated as the cold was really bitter.

Around 6:30 pm we assembled at the bar in all our finery and after drinks went in for our dinner. We were entertained by Helen with a collection of photos from the previous 20 Christmases in July. Phil, appropriately dressed as a demon, did the honours in cutting the 21st cake and Lindy drew the short straw to arrange next years event.
The next day after a leisurely breakfast we made our respective ways home still under cold soggy skies. A big thank you to Phil and Laurette and Helen and Kevin for a truly wonderful weekend.
