It has been a bit quiet on the VICMOG Facebook site in the last few months as one of the wettest Melbourne winter we have seen in some times kept most of us in our respective garages but summer is here now and we are back on the road again.
Last weekend saw our social event of the year, our annual AGM held at its traditional home in the magnificent gardens of Warwick and Paulette’s beautiful Coldstream Country home.
The middle lawn was filled Morgans of all types with the exception however, of Warwick’s Three Wheeler that refused to start and sulked around the corner in front of its garage. This is know as the day that all the Morgans come out to play and we saw a respectable total of 26 Morgans in attendance.
The temperature was around 26c and there was a nice breeze blowing and lunch under the trees in the dappled shade was rather nice particularly Paulette’s magnificent desserts.
The AGM went as smoothly as can be expected. We farewelled our current President Chris Page seen here happily delivering his final Presidential Report. He figured out the only way to escape from this position was to move interstate. Thanks for a fabulous job Chris. We will miss your level head, your endless patience and your great common sense.
The one drawing the short straw for our new President is Bill Emerson seen here being presented with the Morganeer of the year award for 2016 for his outstanding work as Social Secretary. We also welcomed David Jenkins to the Committee as our new Social Secretary. The rest of the usual suspects remain unchanged.
